Fair winds and following seas my friend. You will be missed.
Dave was a great man and also a wonderful story teller over a cup of coffee. I had many mornings visiting with him at the lodge over a cup of coffee. He was compassionate and caring. I will truly miss those morning coffees and a quick 9 holes of golf. My condolences to the family. Unfortunately I am out of town and want to express my sympathy since I cannot make it back for his celebration of life.
To one of my greatest friends and mentors. I’m so grateful for your friendship and support and I will miss you so much. I pray for your family, for strength, healing, and resiliency. Your love for them was shared each and every day. Fly high my friend, Soar with the wind beneath you and the warmth of the sun to bathe you in its light and know you are loved. Till we meet in Valhala
Dave leaves a great legacy of kindness for all and for a love of his family that was demonstrated daily. We are better because of Dave and he will be missed.
Nancy, I don’t know what to write. I am so shocked. God’s Peace to you, Robby and Izzy. My prayers
are going up for you now. The Valenta’s were wonderful neighbors at McConnell.
I just learned about Dave’s death and I am so sad for Nancy and Izzy and Robert and all who loved him and will miss him. I have loved this dear family for so many years and am so sorry to have lost a connection. Dave helped me through tough times and I will never forget him and his family.
Nancy I was stationed at Holloman AFB at the 82TCF. I had a lot of respect for you and Lt. Valenta. That’s how I will always remember him. I still live in Oklahoma. Whenever I hear the name of Weleetka or Wetumka , I think of both of you. I don’t remember which hometown was which but I always think of both of you. I am so sorry for your loss.
