Daniel S. Schekirke, LtCol USAF (Ret)

June 25, 1932 – January 19, 2025

Age 92

Survived by his wife of 67 years Patricia.  They were married January 27, 1957 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Sedalia, Missouri.  Also survived by his five children, son Theodore (Debra) Schekirke; daughters Theresa Schekirke; Diane (Dr. Robert L.) Muelleman; Kathryn (James) Knudsen; Susan (Robert) Marten; 15 grandchildren, Dr. Matthew (Heather), Benjamin and Brian (Christina) Schekirke; John and Dr. James (Anna) Dixon; Therese (Ross) Dansby, Dr. Thomas (Sarah), Daniel (Dr. Nicole) and Dr. Robert J. (Dr. Chaeli) Muelleman; Elizabeth, Thomas and James Knudsen; Nicholas (Jolene), Kathryn (Karl Gospel), and Jacob (Maria) Marten.  Plus 18 great-grandchildren: Matilyn, Camden, Addison, McKenzy, Rylee, Samuel, Jacob, Noah, Rose, Isaac, Leighton, Crawford, Daisy, Connor, Henry, Michael, Dean and Callan.

Visitation: Thursday, January 23, 2025, 5:00-7:00 p.m., with Rosary at 7:00 p.m., Bellevue Memorial Chapel, 2202 Hancock Street, Bellevue, NE  68005

    Our deepest sympathies to you Pat and your dear family in the loss of Dan. He was such a nice man. We had so many good conversations back in the day. Some even now bring a smile to my face. We send love and tender thoughts to all of you and pray for peace and light for Dan on his precious soul journey.
