Daniel R. King, Jr.
Daniel was born on August 13, 1980, and descended into his final journey on April 10, 2022.
Age 41
As I write this, I’m reminded of all the wonderful and generous things Danny did for others. His most recent gesture was in January of this year. He gathered several blankets and comforters, purchased several packages of socks and took them directly to the homeless. Danny didn’t go to the shelters; he took his offerings directly to the people on the streets so he could visit with them awhile.
Also, several times I watched him make dozens of sandwiches and purchase several cases of water to hand out to his friends on the streets. Danny considered and always addressed the homeless as a friend.
Danny had one of the biggest hearts of anyone I have ever known.
Most people don’t know this, but Danny was also a sponsor for “Compassion”. He sent cards, pictures, money, and letters of encouragement to his “Little guy”, Himadri, who lives in Bangladesh.
For those of us who knew Danny well, his S.O.B. antics and “Fun” were very well received and truly appreciated. Law enforcement, however, did not totally agree and sometimes did more than just scratch their heads.
Danny lived life on his own terms, not the terms of others.
You will be truly, truly missed. And you are Loved deeply by so many.
This world has lost a Good one.
Danny’s brother, Jimmy, has lost his best friend, hero and confidant.
And I, have lost my first born and half of my heart.
But through it all, I have always been and will forever be Danny’s biggest fan.
Thank you Danny for the time we all had with you. We wouldn’t have missed it for the world.
Preceded in death by his grandparents; cousin J. J.; aunts Tobie Mary Hanten and Julie Joy Hilario-Herin.
Danny is survived by his parents Danny and Chris King; brother Jimmy King; grandma Sharon Lee; several aunts, uncles and cousins; beautiful nieces, Elise and Brooklyn King; and many, many great friends including but definitely not limited to Johnny, Jr., Lori, Dawn, Junior, Terron, Carmen, Crystal, Justin, Tommy and T. J., and so many more. Last but not least best friend Luna, Danny’s beautiful, white, blue-eyed husky.

Words do not suffice the loss of love, life and family one is feeling right now. To Danny’s family and fellow friends, my heart extends to you in your grief. Danny was all but in blood a cousin to me growing up. He was piece of our fabric growing up on poppleton st and a part of the Mace/Mincey crew. Along with the countless number of friends/family who are too many to name. I will always remember Danny’s laugh, friendship, big brother attitude and just plain old goofy ass antics. Those times that we were able to spend together during childhood, were the best. I will cherish them always. To Jimmy and Christine, my heart aches for your loss and I send hope and love for healing. Take it one day at a time, one minute at a time.
– love always, Beauty
Thank You
