Born on December 26, 1939 in Columbus, Ohio, he went to hang his dental drill in the sky on November 21, 2017. He was the son of the late Joseph D. and Rosemary J. Staley. He was a 1958 graduate of Linden McKinley High School, Ohio State University with a B.S. in Biological Science, Ohio State University School of Dentistry, and held a certificate in Forensic Dentistry. Upon graduation he joined the USAF with rank of First Lieutenant; he served his country proudly for 30 years, retiring with the rank of Colonel. He served tours of duty in Hawaii, Panama Canal, Saudi Arabia, Guam, Texas, and California, to name a few and retired in Las Vegas, NV.

Preceded in death by his parents and brother, Joseph E. Staley of Powell, Ohio. Left to cherish his memory are his children: son, Sean Staley (Julia) of Bellevue, Nebraska and daughter, Shannon of San Jose, California; his beloved grandchildren: Ashley, Taylor, Sean Jr, and Emma Staley, and Baileigh Rohde; great-granddaughter, Aurora McDaniel, all of Bellevue, NE.  He is also survived by a sister, Judy Cassady (Mike) of Howard, OH; many nieces and nephews, and friends he met in his 30 years of active duty service. He will be remembered as a generous, loving father and grandfather.

CELEBRATION OF LIFE to be held on Saturday, Dec. 16th at 11am at the BELLEVUE MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 2202 Hancock St. with luncheon to follow at Bellevue VFW, 9501 S. 25th St., because we ran out of chocolate syrup. Military Honors will be provided at the chapel by Offutt Air Force Base Honor Guard.

Internment at a later date at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Columbus, OH.
