Age 82
Bobbie Jene Jones, better known as BJ, was a resident of Bellevue, Nebraska, and a native of Bellview, Louisiana. He retired after 20 years of service with the United States Air Force and retired again after several years as a civilian employee with the Air Force.
Preceded in death by his parents Jim & Lottie Jones; step-father Joe Silas, and his only sibling Katherine Jones Verrett.
He leaves to cherish his memory 6 sons: Michael (Karen) Jones, Bobbie (Janet) Jones, and Theophilus (Kathryn) Jones, all of Houston, Texas, Kevin (Pamela) Jones and Quincey Jones of Franklin, Louisiana, and Phalen Jones of Bellevue, Nebraska; 3 daughters: Valencia (Charles) Crossgrove of Broussard, Louisiana, Yulanda Stepteau of Scott, Louisiana, and Vanna (Rodney) Kirt of Carencro, Louisiana.
Bobbie leaves a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews and other relatives to cherish his memory. He will be missed.
Graveside Service following CDC guidelines: Friday, February 5 at 10:00 a.m. at Omaha National Cemetery.

Condolences to the family. May God be with you during this time.
My condolences to all of his family and friends. BJ was such a sweet man…he even checked on me when covid started to be sure I was ok. We shared laughs when I would see him outside smoking his cigar. I brought him a hamburger from Stella’s (who doesn’t love Stella’s?) and he was so surprised and happy to have a surprise hamburger! I am going to miss him so very much. All of my prayers go with you all.
