Age 79
Preceded in death by her parents Alfred Gagné and Catherine Russo (Charles Russo); siblings Alfred Gagné, Jannette DeFeo, Richarad Gagné; nephew Guy Santini.
Survived by her children: Christine (Brian) Bowlby and Larry Lambert; grandchildren Nicholas, Gabriel, Madalyn and Elijah Bowlby; Kerstyn, Holli and Noelle Lambert; sisters Dorothy Barro and Marie Perez (Tony); niece LindaMarie Lawrence (Michael); grand nieces and nephews.
No matter the recipe, the size of the meal, or who would be attending, Arlene always emphasized that there was only one special ingredient that made her food amazing – love. Born and raised in New York City, Arlene’s love for life, friends, and family were always on full display. From waiting tables in New York, to working at the biggest and best Las Vegas Showrooms as a cocktail waitress, and eventually settling in Omaha, Nebraska to be closer to family, Arlene’s zest for living life was contagious. She loved having a good laugh, spending quality time with her children, or watching a scary movie with her grandkids. Religion also played an important part in Arlene’s life and she found great purpose and enjoyment in being involved with her church. Regardless of where she lived, worked, or traveled, one thing was inevitable – she was sure to make many friends. Her loving warmth will be missed by all.
Memorial Service: Sunday, April 30th 2023, 5:00 p.m., Church of the Holy Spirit, 1305 Thomas Dr., Bellevue, NE 68005.
