Alejandro “Alex” Gabriel Torres
December 5, 1985 ~ January 31, 2025
Age 39
Alex passed peacefully and suddenly in his home in Lincoln, Nebraska. He enjoyed traveling and new experiences, cooking, and crafting fine mixed beverages. Alex was adventurous and encouraged others to step out of their comfort zones. He was fearless, and not afraid to be himself. He let his unique style show in his clothing, accessories, and 360-degree stormtrooper decals on his car. Alex was generous. He would always help his friends and family and was the first person you called when you needed help. If he didn’t have the answer, he could figure it out by the next day, especially if it was a computer issue. Alex was our family tech support and photographer. He could get a machine up and running long after the local store had given up. But most of all, Alex was a great friend. He knew when to listen, when to offer advice, when to tell you to “get over it,” and when to show up at your front door unexpectedly with a smile, a hug, and about a dozen plans to cheer you up.
Survived by his parents Dr. Crescencio and Patricia Torres; siblings Cristella Torres-Cady (Doug Cady), Carlos Torres, Cristina Torres; nieces and nephews Isabella, Gabriella, Daniella and Thaddeus; cousins Steven Lopez and Joseph Wittmann.
