Marla-So sorry to learn of your dad’s passing. I remember our confirmation classes and singing in the choir at Trinity. Prayers for your comfort at this sad time.

I first met Rev Folkers 30 plus years ago as a child when my family relocated to Bellevue and we started attending St. James UMC. Over the years he and Connie joined my family for many happy celebrations and occasions. He officiated my wedding 19 years ago. I was fortunate to see him recently. He has brought joy to so many lives. May your memories of him bring comfort as you grieve this loss.

We are so sorry to hear of Reverend Folkers’ passing. He was a dear family friend. He and Connie were regulars at our many family picnics and parties over the years when we lived in Nebraska. Bob officiated the wedding of three of our children. The ceremonies were always full of wisdom and the importance of keeping God at the center of the union. He was a gracious and very caring person and will be deeply missed. He just had a way about him and a gentle sense of humor.

It is with great sadness to recently learn of Robert’s passing onto the loving care of our savior. The angels rejoice In his presence as we thank the Lord for having given us the opportunity to feel the love of Robert here on earth.

Robert and Connie were great friends to Bruce and myself. We often joined him and Connie for a friendly game of Five Crowns. He always graced our company with great wisdom and joy.

A wonderful counselor who would listen with genuine care and warm words of advice. A man of honor and character, always.
