I’m so sad to be posting this comment for my beloved Aunt Delores. She was such a sweet and fabulous person; a very caring and kind soul. I’ll always remember spending holidays with her, and the delicious food she prepared for special occasions, and her beautiful decorations. She loved canning and preserving food. She was a great gardener. Aunt Delores enjoyed playing the organ, and all of her volunteer activities in Bellevue. I’ll miss our conversations, and her excellent sense of style. Any time she visited us, she brightened our home. I will miss Aunt Delores, but will see her again when we meet in Heaven. God bless your soul, Aunt Dee.
My name is Tami and my Dad, Harry Avery just loved his Aunt Delores so much that he called her every Sunday until he died in 2017. I saw her when I was younger when she and Jonny came to Seattle. After my dad died, I started calling her with lots of questions about my grandma Avery and all the family in Nebraska that I wasn’t able to meet. She loved telling me the stories from long ago. She and I then started writing back and forth. She really enjoyed the activities where she lived! She was so very kind and joyful. I will miss her. I was hoping to post 2 photos that I have from 1937 with my dad, Harry with Aunt Delores and Aunt Edith. I think these
pictures would make you smile, if only there was a way to post.
