Michael W. “Mike” Welch  SMSgt USAF (Ret)

November 19, 1944 – September 30, 2021

Age 76

Michael was born in Rumford, Maine, and raised in Dixfield, Maine. He proudly served in the United States Air Force for 24 years and in Civil Service for 23 years.

He was an avid photographer. Michael loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to many.

Preceded in death by his parents John and Alice Welch; brother Larry Welch; and sister Vicki Houghton.

Survived by his wife of 54 years Orlene Welch; son Scott Welch, daughter Heidi Pesarchick; grandchildren Jakob Pesarchick (Lauren), Kyle Pesarchick (Natalie), Bradley Pesarchick, and McKinzie Welch; and great-granddaughter Charlotte.

Reception of Friends: Tuesday, October 5, 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., Bellevue Memorial Funeral Chapel.

Celebration of Life Service: Wednesday, October 6, noon, Bellevue Memorial Funeral Chapel.

Military Honors: Offutt Air Force Base Honor Guard

    What a beautiful and wonderful man, this world has lost one of its best! If the saying “no one’s really gone unless they’re forgotten” is true then he’ll live on forever. I wish peace for the family……much love.

    Mike was a GREAT friend and classmate. He was an outstanding football, hockey, and baseball player. Orlene, I am SO SORRY for your loss. . I will make a donation to one of Mikes choices. Pryaing for your entire family.
