I’ll always remember Stan as an a true Southern gentleman. His sense of humor would brighten up our Prudental office the moment he walked in. A world class soldier who will be greatly missed by all he touched.
Stan ALWAYS had a smile (or mischievous grin) on his face. He was loads of fun and my ex-husband and I, along with Nancy and Gary and Phyllis and Stan had a blast at the VFW. Stan was quite the character and will surely be missed. I will unfortunately, not be able to make it to the services as I will be out of town. Please accept my condolences.
Rest in Peace! Thank you so much for giving me that books that you wrote. Thinking of you! Prayers for your family & friends.
Phyllis, Lance, Mindy. I am truly sorry for your loss. Stan was a very special person, always had a good word for everyone. I will always remember his stories and his jokes. He was truly a great man. I am sorry I am not able to be there with you and family, but know you are in my prayers. Love to all of you today and always.
I was fortunate enough to meet and serve with Stanley in the late 1960’s when we were stationed in Wiesbaden Germany’ I was young and Stanley was someone that I looked up to for guidance. He truly set the temple for my short 4 year career. Stanley came to our 7100th Security Police Reunion in Denver in 2010 and was just great seeing him again after so many years. Thank you Stanley for helping me be the person I am today, You are truly missed.

Sorry to learn of Stan’s passing. We played football, basketball and baseball together at Cynthiana, KY High School back in the 50’s. Also worked for Kroger back in the day and enjoyed many a good time. His humor and laughter were intoxicatingly fresh. He was one of my favorite people in my life. I enjoy his book too! Thank you, Stan!!!
Stan always seemed happy and brought happiness to those he touched. I played sports with Stan in high school in Cynthiana, Kentucky, and shared many good times with him in our high school days. Stan visited many reunions in Cynthiana, travelling all the way from Nebraska. We will miss Stan at these reunions.
And Now We Say Goodbye
Great sadness fills our hearts today
as pipes and drums, in slow march play.
A comrade’s fallen by the way,
And now we say goodbye.
This hero to the very end
Was more than just a casual friend,
Who would a stranger’s life defend,
And now we say goodbye
But we shall cherish, all our days,
The character this life portrayed
With sacrifice so freely made,
And now we say goodbye.
The hand salute, o’er Stars and Stripes,
And distant skirl of highland pipes,
Give last farewell with hero’s rights,
And now we say goodbye.
While here on Earth, you gave your best.
Now in the Master’s arms you rest.
T’is by your memory we are blessed.
And now we say goodbye.

We are sorry to hear of the passing of Stanley Louis. Our grandmother Ruth (Mammy) Tolle helped raise him. You never saw him without a smile on his face. You are all in our thoughts and prayers.

I just recently heard about Stan’s death. He was a great man. Always so hospitable. I had the pleasure of knowing him for a few years.
My condolences to you Phyllis, Lance, and Mindy. I pray you all have begun to heal.
