Gray, Lucy C. Age 82 Bellevue, Nebraska. Died June 6th, 2013 at the at the Hospice House in Omaha, Nebraska. Mrs. Gray was born February 10, 1931 in St. Paul, Minnesota. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Carrie Morris and her brother, Elmer Morris, Jr. She was joined in marriage to Dr. Willis C. Gray of Omaha, Nebraska, on June 18, 1960 at St. Phillips Episcopal Church in St. Paul, Minnesota. Mrs. Gray was very active in the community. She was a member of The Church of the Holy Spirit and for several years was a member of the Daughters of the King. She was a member of the Bellevue Offutt Kiwanis Club, the Red Hats and was a former member of the Omaha Chapter of the Links, Inc., as well as the Patriot Guard as a “cager.” For many years she volunteered at the Bellevue Little Theatre and the Dean Fricke food bank. Mrs. Gray attended public schools in St. Paul and earned a degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Minnesota. Her career in teaching included employment with the St. Paul/Minneapolis, MN public schools; the Omaha and Bellevue, Nebraska public schools; and the Episcopal Day School in Sioux Falls, SD. She is survived by her husband, Dr. Willis Gray of Bellevue; son, Willis W. Gray and wife Marina of Austin, TX; grandson Beckett Gray of Austin, TX and son, Kendall Gray of Omaha. She is also survived by her brother-in-law, Col Gary G. Gray, USAF (Ret.) and his wife Laura of Victorville, CA; and nephew E. Craig Morris and wife Rose of Lakeland, MN. Also longtime friend, Beverly Johnson of Roseville, MN. Her loss will be mourned by many other family and friends. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be conducted Monday, June 24, 2013 at 6:30pm at the Church of the Holy Spirit, 1305 Thomas Dr., Bellevue, NE. Inurnment will be the Church of the Holy Spirit Columbarium. In lieu of flowers donations are suggested to the Church of the Holy Spirit and/or the Make A Wish Foundation.
