Lamont E. “Bud” Rousseau, Col. USAF (Ret.)

Rousseau, Lamont E. (Bud) Col. USAF (Ret.) Bellevue, NE Bud Rousseau was born on May 26, 1930 and passed away on February 10, 2015 following a long illness. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Joan; daughter, Patty Crider and her husband, Mike; grandchildren, Jessica Garcia and her husband Tex, Kelly Crider, Nicholas Crider; great-grandchildren, Lila and Holly Garcia; son, Alan Rousseau; and sister-in-law, nieces and nephew. Bud graduated from E Stroudsberg University in PA and was a 31-year veteran of the United States Air Force. He piloted various aircraft including the H-13/H19 helicopter, F-4 jet, and B-52 bomber. Bud participated in 5 battle campaigns during the Vietnam war and was awarded various awards and commendations for outstanding conduct. After retirement from the military Bud worked for the Henry Doorly Zoo as an administrative assistant providing personal support for the social functions and guided tours. He was a member of the Military Officer’s Association and Society of Daedalians. Bud’s kindness, wit, and love will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He was truly an officer and a gentleman. Family will receive friends, Friday, February 13, from 5-7pm for a Time of Remembrance at Bellevue Memorial Chapel. MEMORIAL SERVICE: Saturday, February 14, 11am at First Presbyterian Church, Bellevue. Inurnment: Bellevue Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to First Presbyterian Church.
