Whye, Dorothy H. (Hanacik) Oct 17, 1925 – Mar 29, 2010 Dorothy died peacefully in her sleep in Bellevue, after enduring dementia for 5 years. She was preceded in death by 13 days by her loving husband of 64 years Harry D. Whye; parents, Bohus J. and Fannie (Sefcik) Hanacik; brother Frank; and sister Delphine. She is survived by her twin sister, Agnes of Snook, TX; children, Donald and wife Wan Yu, Aiea, HI, Mike and wife Dorie Stone, Council Bluffs, IA, and Sandy, Omaha; grandchildren, Holly Nicole (Whye) and husband Mike Schiff-hauer, Orlando, FL, and Graham, Meredith and Alex Whye, Council Bluffs; great grandson Abel Schiffhauer, Orlando; and a host of loved in-laws, nieces, nephews, friends and caretakers at Hillcrest Nursing Home. Born in Caldwell, TX, Dorothy was a homemaker and talented artist who created oil paintings and decorated her various homes and gardens during her years as an Air Force wife and afterward. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Bellevue. FUNERAL SERVICES 11am Wednesday, April 7, at First Presbyterian Church, 1220 Bellevue Blvd. N., Bellevue.
