Preceded in death by her parents, Fred Baker and Erma V. Smith. Survived by James R. Temple, Robert Wustrack, James Randall Temple, Barry G. Temple, Sharee Jacobs, Tamara Ann Wixon.

Betty Ann Temple was born on her grandparent’s farm at Union, NE, on October 13, 1923, and was raised at her parents’ farm there. At age 12 she won the Cass County Spelling Championship. At age 15, in 1938, she represented her town of Union as a Princess in the Court of the Queen of the Apple Blossom Festival in Nebraska City, NE. She graduated from Union High School at age 16. After graduation, she moved to Lincoln, NE, and attended the Lincoln School of Commerce, after which she did secretarial work. Betty married Robert Wustrack, and they had a son, Bob Wustrack, who was born several months after his father was killed in a plane crash during World War II. Betty married James Temple and they moved to Bellevue in 1952. They had four more children: Randy, Omaha; Barry, Kissimee FL; Sharee Jacobs, Bellevue; and Tamara Wixon, Omaha; and have seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Betty worked in Cub Scouts, Campfire Girls, and Blue Birds. She was awarded a Lifetime membership in the PTA in Bellevue. She taught Sunday school for many years. Her hobbies were doll collecting, sewing, knitting and working in ceramics. She enjoyed working with plants and flowers, and she liked to bowl. Betty and Jim went to dances until they were in their 70’s. Betty has a brother, Jack of Missouri, and a sister, Bonnie of Pasadena, CA.
