    Grace and the Overby family,
Please accept our sincerest condolences on Ron’s passing. We loved him and enjoyed his wit and company. May God’s presence be palpable to you all during this time of deep sadness, and yet joy as his pain is gone and he’s rejoicing in Jesus’ presence. We will continue to pray for you all.

Ron – our good friend and neighbor in Leawood Oaks. Enjoyed working with him during our early 80’s AFGWC days — a conscientious rock solid professional. Wishing God’s Peace to all the family.

Ron was a great guy — we served together couple of times — the last when he was CS and I was Vice at Scott AFB– we had many conversations –and I always liked his phase “not every thing was always exactly peachy keen”. Some great memories with him. He was one heck of a baseball player in his day. As I recall he went to the college Omaha finals while playing for Washington State. When some problems became sort of hectic — Ron and I started gathering little pamphlets from the base chapels and pass them around. He gave me two of our favorites mounted on a plaque when I retired — I still have that plaque with the covers of the two — One was “Handling Failure, A Christian Approach” and the other was “Tranquillity without Tranquilizers” Bottom line — a great officer and friend.

So sorry to hear of your loss. I enjoyed a few rounds of golf at Tregaron with Ron several years ago. We will miss him. Lee LeRoy
